A1:There are several situations that are considered as entering thecountry to complete short-term work assignments as follows.
A1:视为入境完成短期工作任务的情形有以下几种:
(i)To the domestic partner to complete a technical, scientific research,management, instruction, etc.
(一)到境内合作方完成某项技术、科研、管理、指导等工作;
(ii)to the domestic sports institutions for trial training (includingcoaches, athletes)
(二)到境内体育机构进行试训(包括教练员、运动员);
(iii)shooting films (including commercials, documentaries)
(三)拍摄影片(包括广告片、纪录片);
(iv)fashion shows (including car models, shooting print advertising,etc.)
(四)时装表演(包括车模、拍摄平面广告等);
(v)engaged in foreign-related business performances.
(五)从事涉外营业性演出;
(vi)other circumstances identified by the human resources and socialsecurity departments.
(六)人力资源社会保障部门认定的其他情形。
Q2:What circumstances are not considered to have entered the country tocomplete short-term work?

A2:The following circumstances are not considered to be the completionof short-term work assignments.
A2:以下情形不视为完成短期工作任务:
(i)the purchase of machinery and equipment supporting the maintenance,installation, commissioning, disassembly, instruction and training
(一)购买机器设备配套维修、安装、调试、拆卸、指导和培训的;
(ii)the instruction, supervision and inspection of projects won in theterritory
(二)对在境内中标项目进行指导、监督、检查的;
(iii)sent to the domestic branches, subsidiaries, representative officesto complete short-term work
(三)派往境内分公司、子公司、代表处完成短期工作的;
(iv)to participate in sports events (including athletes, coaches, teamdoctors, assistants and other related personnel. However, accordingto the requirements of international sports organizations, approvedby the competent authorities in China, except in cases such as entrywith a registration card to participate)
(四)参加体育赛事的(包括运动员、教练员、队医、助理等相关人员。但根据国际体育组织要求,经我国主管部门批准,持注册卡入境参赛等情况除外);
(v)entry to engage in unpaid work or by foreign agencies to providecompensation for volunteers and volunteers, etc.
(五)入境从事无报酬工作或由境外机构提供报酬的义工和志愿者等;
(vi)The competent cultural authorities do not indicate "foreign-relatedbusiness performance" on the approval document.
(六)化主管部门在批准书上未注明“涉外营业性演出”的。

A3:If you are not considered to have entered the country to completeshort-term work (i) (ii)(iii) (iv)and the duration of stay does not exceed 90 days, you should applyfor an M-visa; if you have (v)(vi) and the duration ofstay does not exceed 90 days, you should apply for an F-visa.
A3:具有不视为入境完成短期(一)(二)(三)(四)情形,且停留时间不超过90日的,应当申请办理M字签证;具有(五)(六)情形,且停留时间不超过90日的,应当申请办理F字签证。
Q4:Can I change to a permanent job after the short-term work assignment?
Q4:短期工作任务结束后,能转成长期工作吗?
A4:If the work stay is still valid after the short-term work assignmentis over, you may not apply for an extension. However, if you intendto be employed by a domestic employer, you can apply for a workpermit at the human resources department with relevant supportingdocuments within the validity period of the residence permit and inaccordance with the procedures of the Regulations on theAdministration of Foreigners' Employment in China. The humanresources and social security departments will issue employmentpermits and employment cards to those who meet the requirements.
A4:短期工作任务结束后,工作居留还在有效内的,不得申请延期。但如果拟被境内用人单位聘用的,可在居留许可有效期内,按《外国人在中国就业管理规定》程序,持相关证明材料到人社部门申请工作许可。人社部门对符合条件人员颁发就业许可和就业证。

A6:外国医师入境完成短期工作任务,应按照《外国医师来华短期行医暂行规定》规定,邀请方必须为在华医疗机构,外国医师应取得《外国医师短期行医许可证》。
